eBay China’s star sellers shone at the recent prestigious 2014 Greater China Annual Leadership Summit in Qingdao, where eBay’s leaders acknowledged their role in driving the country’s dynamic online export trade.

More than 60 top exporters from mainland China were honored for their achievements in sales, mobile ecommerce, emerging markets and more. And, for the first time, Taiwanese and Hong Kong merchants were recognized for the part they’re playing in helping grow Chinese cross-border trade.

eBay’s leaders shared industry insights on the night, showing how the business is supporting sellers during this period of unprecedented growth. They noted that:

  • eBay’s leadership in mobile eCommerce enables sellers to adapt to the latest trends and technologies, while giving them greater confidence in their ability to sell on mobile devices.
  • Access to emerging markets is allowing sellers to reach more and more online shoppers.
  • Innovative logistics solutions, such as opening local warehouses, in key markets is benefiting a growing number of sellers.

“Logistics is one of our biggest obstacles,” said one winner in an acceptance speech. “eBay’s overseas warehouse solution has given us hope – it not only speeds up the shipping process but raises our service levels.”

Congratulating the winners, Greater China CBT Vice President John Lin pointed out that a new era for China’s online export industry is being ushered in – one marked by eBay’s continued investment in its platforms, a better customer experience and more support to sellers to match offline retailer service standards.

“We want our sellers to provide even better services in this new era,” Lin said. “That’s why we’re making huge efforts to support them.”
