Shoppers Kick Off Holiday Shopping on the Couch – Mobile Shopping Surges on Thanksgiving

(Nasdaq:EBAY), smartphone and tablet shopping rose to new heights this Thanksgiving as shoppers took to their mobile devices for a new Turkey Day tradition – “snacking” for holiday deals from the comfort of their couches.

- eBay Mobile announced that the amount shoppers in the U.S. spent via eBay Mobile more than doubled this Thanksgiving over last year

Mobile holiday shopping activity started to heat up after dinner on Thanksgiving at 6 p.m. PST, as shoppers chose to shop from their couches rather than standing in line for Black Friday deals. Hot products being purchased via eBay Mobile included Toms Shoes, Apple products and Webkinz toys.
