Andy Cring

Interim Chief Financial Officer

Andy Cring is eBay Inc.’s interim Chief Financial Officer, a role he assumed in September 2019 after six years as the company’s Vice President of Global Financial Planning and Analysis.

Andy brings incredible experience to the job, having been responsible on a global basis for financial oversight of all functions at eBay, including technology, marketing and operations. Prior to eBay, Andy served as Senior Vice President of FP&A at Yahoo! from 2009 to 2012. Before joining Yahoo!, he spent 17 years at General Electric in a variety of finance roles, including Chief Financial Officer of Sensing and Inspection Technologies as well as Financial Planning and Analysis leader at both GE Lighting and GE Plastics. Andy began his career as part of GE’s Financial Management Program with its Lighting division in Cleveland, Ohio.

Andy received his M.B.A from Clarkson University and his B.A. in Economics from St. Lawrence University.

He misses the days of his youth when he played more basketball, but luckily has learned to find joy in working on his golf and tennis games, and traveling. Andy also really enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters.

Andy’s Favorite eBay Experience:

“A few years back, I was shopping for a Christmas gift for my daughter and came to realize that the seller was from the small town in Northern New York where I grew up. It’s a tough part of the state to succeed as a retailer. It was great to see that through eBay the seller was able to reach a global audience and stay in business all while serving the local community!”
