CNBC recently featured the food service provider for eBay Inc.’s headquarters in San Jose, Bon Appétit, which has long set the standard for high-quality cafeteria food at Silicon Valley’s top companies.
CNBC reporter John Fortt, above left, visited eBay’s cafeteria with Bon Appétit founder Fedele Bauccio, above right, where they watched chefs in action and spoke with employees about the importance of having good food on campus.
“It just means that they care a lot about their employees, it’s not just about coming here and doing your work, it’s about the whole experience,” said Katie Mirto of PayPal Talent Acquisition.
On-screen fact boxes pointed out eBay’s community gardens produce vegetables for the company’s cafeterias, which serve 2,800 eBay Inc. employees daily.
