eBay is asking consumers to think again before they buy something without first looking on eBay as we debut the next phase of our new brand platform, “Fill Your Cart with Color,” in North America. Starting today, you’ll see eBay on TV in a new series of ads, challenging people who thought they got a prime deal on their recent purchase with a simple question: “Did you check eBay?”
This activation of our brand, developed with eBay’s new global creative agency 72andSunny Los Angeles, is part of an ongoing effort to push a more engaging shopping experience on eBay, helping you express your individuality and break from the conformity of traditional retail.
eBay showed off its new brand platform and rallied shoppers to embrace what makes them unique with our premier TV ad in June. Then we brought the concept to life at a colorful block party in New York, complete with shoppable booths filled with collections curated from the 1.1 billion listings in our marketplace.
As part of this next phase, you’ll also hear us on the radio and see us popping up in movie theaters, on social and on billboards across North America. We’ll test what you think you know about eBay—like did you know that 80 percent of our items are 100 percent new? When you shop on eBay, you get deals on what’s totally new and totally you.
Our refreshed brand is an expression of the new eBay and where we are headed, integrating a highly personalized eBay shopping experience with a reimagined homepage tailored to your unique interests.
So, maybe you want this season’s hottest handbag or you’re looking for the guaranteed best deal on a Google Home & Chromecast bundle. Whatever it is, before you buy it, ask yourself: did you check eBay?
