Saddle Up, a Western saddle and tack shop in Colorado, started as a retirement hobby for Richard Van Proosdy in 1996. In 2009, Danna, Richard’s daughter, joined the family-owned and operated business, selling new and pre-owned western saddles and tack. In 2013, Danna took a 12-week business course through Mi Casa, an organization dedicated to advancing the economic success of Latino and working families in the Denver Metro area. Through the course, she got a tip to expand her business through eBay to broaden her customer base. Danna has been selling her products successfully on eBay ever since, took over the family business in 2014 and increased Saddle Up sales immensely.
