Today, eBay unveils its new global brand campaign, eBay Stories a celebration of the unique stories, passions, and connections that make every purchase on its marketplace meaningful. The campaign invites people to rediscover the joy of shopping by spotlighting the moments when buyers and sellers find exactly what they’re looking for – and the stories behind those finds.
In today’s world, shopping has become overly convenient, generic, and sterile – a passive, uninspired experience, stripped of the meaning and excitement it once carried. eBay Stories counters this by showing how every item discovered on the marketplace holds a story that makes it more special, personal, and worth having.
The campaign, developed in partnership with eBay’s global creative agency JOAN, rolls out across the UK, US, and Germany on television, digital, out-of-home, radio, and social platforms. It includes dedicated assets speaking to enthusiasts across Fashion, Motors, and Collectibles.
“This campaign answers the question, ‘Why eBay?’ by celebrating the fun of shopping on our marketplace,” said Emily O’Hara, eBay’s Global Head of Brand & Media. “It’s about that winning feeling — when you score a deal, find exactly what you were looking for, or successfully sell an item you no longer need. The insight comes to life through stories of people’s wins on eBay, they can’t help but share.”
The campaign builds on the global brand platform Things. People. Love., celebrating the connection with eBay as the home for passions and setting the stage for the company’s continued evolution as a global leader in e-commerce.
eBay Stories launches in the UK on September 22, in the US on October 1 – where eBay is also launching new work for Fashion (featuring talent from “The Cast” influencer program) as well as Motors – and in Germany on October 8.
