Before starting G-Brats Guitars, Scott worked in the corporate world for an electric company in Dallas. His background, however, was all about guitars. He holds a bachelor's degree in classical guitar from Hartt College and studied at the Guitar Institute of Technology. In 2003, he began selling guitars on eBay as a side gig. Hoping to grow into a full-time business one day, he continually reinvested profits back into the business. Both profits and inventory continued to grow. In 2005, he experienced an unexpected layoff from his job. Compelled by the growth of his side business, Scott decided to devote himself to the guitar business – and his number-one passion – full-time. Today, Scott and his wife, Monique, run the business together.
