Deering brings with her more than 20 years of diverse business experience.

Today, we welcome Suzy Deering to eBay as the Chief Marketing Officer for our North America business. As CMO, Suzy will help connect eBay’s customers to the things they love and need, and she’ll bring innovation, a strategic marketing perspective and passionate voice to eBay’s online and offline marketing programs.  Suzy will report into Hal Lawton, eBay’s SVP of North America.

With more than 20 years of experience, Suzy has a dynamic blend of marketing, brand strategy, data driven insights and deep media knowledge. She joins eBay from Moxie, the largest digital advertising agency in the Southeast, where, as CEO for the past three years, she led the development of their digital capabilities towards technology enabled data solutions. Previously she was VP of Advertising at Home Depot where she led the integrated marketing efforts for an integrated retail experience and led the organization to develop a digital first approach to the marketing and business practice.  She also spent more than a decade at Verizon in marketing leadership roles across their business, including repositioning Verizon’s corporate brand to a common look, feel and brand platform over all business units.

Following the recent separation of eBay from PayPal, eBay is redefining itself with a more aggressive focus on retailing. Suzy will lead the eBay Marketing organization driving the long term marketing strategy around eBay’s spectrum of value—providing a range of choices at different value points.

One of the world’s top 30 global brands, eBay’s commerce platform has157 million active buyers and 25 million sellers. With more than 800 million listings of diverse inventory at great value, eBay is a leader in emerging commerce battlegrounds such as mobile and cross-border commerce.
