StubHub Introduces Virtual Reality to Help Fans Choose their Seat

There’s been a lot of speculation on the role virtual reality might play in the future of commerce.

Now we’re beginning to see some of that potential realized.

 eBay and StubHub have just announced our first steps into VR, with the new virtual view app feature within the StubHub app.

The virtual view feature – which can be seen with or without VR headsets like Google Cardboard or Samsung Gear VR -- offers fans an immersive, 360 degree view of their section at in time for the Final Four at Houston’s NRG Stadium and baseball season at San Francisco’s AT&T Park.

StubHub users with VR goggles can insert their iOS/Android phone into the viewer, and move their head from side-to-side for a heightened experience.

The VR experience at NRG Stadium and AT&T Park is only the beginning -- more venues will be added in the coming months.
