From now until June 13th, eBay welcomes a one-of-a-kind auction, promoted by Celebrity Fight Night Italy, a significant international philanthropic event that in September will reunite artists and celebrities alike from all over the world. In the first two Italian editions there have been celebrities like George Clooney, Sharon Stone, Lionel Richie, John Legend, Sophia Loren, Leona Lewis, Alessandro Preziosi, Beppe Fiorello and Mariagrazia Cucinotta.
The auction will offer the occasion to take part as VIPs in two exclusive nights: the winners of the auction will share the same table as Andrea Bocelli together with his other celebrity friends; at the end of the dinner, they will attend the Maestro’s private concert reserved for his guests.
All the money raised by the initiative will be allocated to the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center and the Andrea Bocelli Foundation, to support the 2,550 children that every day attend the five schools of the Foundation in Haiti.
On auction are two invitations for the white dinner of September 9th under the Tuscan stars. The event will open with a welcome cocktail at the Teatro del Silenzio, situated in the Tuscan hills near Pisa. After the cocktail, the dinner will be served in the inner garden of Andrea Bocelli’s villa, called “Poggioncino”, in Lajatico in the province of Pisa. Two seats at the Maestro’s table will be reserved for the winners of the auction. At the end of the night the tenor will perform, accompanied by some of his artist friends, for a private concert reserved for 250 people.
Up for auction are two invitations to participate in the Gala night on September 11th with a Red Carpet moment at Palazzo Vecchio in Florence. Cocktails will be served inside the historical building and the dinner will be held at the Salone dei Cinquecento. Also in this case, for those who will win the auction, two places at the Tenor’s table, together with his other celebrity friends, will be reserved. At the end of the dinner, Bocelli will perform accompanied by the Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino conducted by Maestro Zubin Mehta, with the participation of other artists at an hour-long concert for 350 people present in the Salone.
“This project is really more a passion, it’s something that straight away Veronica and I invested a lot of energy in,” says Maestro Bocelli. “Just in two Italian editions, 18 million euros have been raised: from here the decision has been made to increase awareness about the initiative and to take the Italian Celebrity Fight Night to the online public. For this reason, we thought about presenting the project to the over 162 million eBay consumers in the world and to offer them the opportunity to be our guests for two nights.”
Celebrity Fight Night is a project born more than 20 years ago in Phoenix, Arizona, that landed in Italy in 2014. It was by participating in an American edition that Andrea Bocelli decided, together with his wife Veronica, to reproduce these special nights also in a more Mediterranean and familiar context. From here, the idea to create a Celebrity Fight Night in Italy was born, showcasing the extraordinary beauties of Italy, uniting the forces of many artists and some of the most important Italian business icons to create a uniquely original philanthropic project.
