Fortune Magazine has ranked eBay number five in the Internet Services and Retailing sector of its World’s Most Admired Companies roundup for 2016, which also included Alphabet, Facebook, Amazon and Priceline Group.
The global business magazine – which runs the feature annually as “the definitive report card on corporate reputation” -- ranked us on attributes ranging from Use of Corporate Assets (where we came in number one) to Financial Soundness and Social Responsibility (where we earned number three).

Fortune’s survey partners at Korn Ferry Hay Group started with approximately 1,500 companies in this year’s ranking, To create the 54 industry lists considered, Korn Ferry Hay Group asked executives, directors, and analysts to rate companies in their own industry on nine criteria.
