At the heart of the project is a GM 2.0-liter supercharged engine that Hettinga bought in 2010. He said, “As soon as I saw the deal, I knew I had to have it. I paid $1,601 for a $5,500 engine and with a deal like that, I knew this project was meant to be.” Hettinga was able to buy everything else he needed to power the vehicle on eBay Motors, including:
