Benefit Concert Proceeds to Support Those Affected by Hurricane Sandy

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--StubHub, the world's largest ticket marketplace, announced today that the company will donate its profits from the one night only “12.12.12” The Concert for Sandy Relief at Madison Square Garden, to the Robin Hood Relief Fund. StubHub will not profit from any ticket sales to the event.

“In keeping with the original goal of this concert, StubHub will donate all profits from this event to those affected by Hurricane Sandy”

“In keeping with the original goal of this concert, StubHub will donate all profits from this event to those affected by Hurricane Sandy,” said Emma Leggat, StubHub’s Head of Corporate Social Responsibility. “We chose to partner with the Robin Hood Relief Fund for this event rather than remove ticket listings, which would turn fans and relief dollars away.”

In addition to donating its profits, StubHub is providing all sellers the option to donate proceeds from tickets sold to one of several nonprofit organizations leading Hurricane Sandy relief efforts, including the Robin Hood Relief Fund as well as the American Red Cross, Save the Children, the Humane Society of the United States and the Salvation Army.

Founded in 1988, Robin Hood is New York’s largest poverty-fighting organization. The Robin Hood Relief Fund is providing money, material and know-how to organizations that are serving families and individuals in the regions hardest hit by Hurricane Sandy. StubHub’s donation will go toward providing food and blankets, replacement income and rebuilding of the infrastructure for Robin Hood’s community partners and people affected by the storm.

“12.12.12” The Concert for Sandy Relief (http://www.121212concert.org), will be held on December 12th at Madison Square Garden. To donate to The Robin Hood Relief Fund visit www.robinhood.org/rhsandy.
