eBay Australia announces new Managing Director

Press Release

eBay Australia has appointed David Ramadge to Vice President and Managing Director.

Ramadge is a seasoned technology and business leader across e-commerce and other industries having re-joined eBay in December 2017 as Senior Director of Product and Shipping after nearly 10 years in Silicon Valley innovating at scale in large technology companies and building start-ups, including five years in eBay’s product and technology team.

Senior Vice President of eBay Asia Pacific, Joo Man Park, says Ramadge will take the eBay Australia business to the next level.

“Dave’s leadership style is authentic, down to earth, positive and he puts his people first. With his relationships across our global organisation, focus on creating great experiences and talent for motivating teams, he is the right leader to lead the business through the next phase of the strategy.

“Dave has been on the Australian leadership team for four years and has unparalleled knowledge and passion for eBay having led Product, eBay Plus, Shipping, Payments, Trust, Consumer Selling and Luxury Verticals,” said Park.

Ramadge says he is excited about growing the platform as he takes on the leadership role.

“eBay in Australia has a long and special history. I am humbled and excited to lead our marketplace in its next phase. To our 40,000 business sellers, countless consumer sellers and millions of regular buyers I can say we will be working tirelessly to keep growing your business and improving your experience on eBay,” said Ramadge.

Ramadge takes over from Tim MacKinnon who had held the role of Managing Director since September 2017 after a 10 year stint at eBay.
