1 June 2020: ebay.com.au, Australia’s number one shopping site¹, is launching its first-ever month-long shopping event, eBay Plus Month, offering huge savings on essentials and free express delivery on millions of eBay Plus items, at a time when Australians are tightening their belts.
Kicking off on 1st June at 10am the month-long event is available exclusively to eBay Plus members. Previously Plus Weekend, eBay Plus Month will showcase a new deal every day throughout June featuring savings of up to 80 per cent.
Items have been selected using eBay data on what Aussies have been commonly searching for and buying during isolation. Items include Apple AirPods (2nd Generation and Pro), a Nintendo Switch Neon and an air fryer following purchase spikes in headphones (31 per cent), gaming consoles (221 per cent) and kitchen appliances (60 per cent).²
As well as exclusive deals, eBay Plus members will benefit from:
- Spend and save offers on millions of eBay Plus items - spend $100, save $10; spend $500, save $50 and spend $2,000, save $200 (from 1-14 June)³
- 20 per cent off select eBay Plus items (from 15-30 June)⁴
eBay Australia’s Sophie Onikul says, “We know the last couple of months have been tough on Aussies financially with an estimated 46 per cent of household incomes affected.⁵ We’re excited to extend our previous Plus Weekend to a full month of savings with eBay Plus Month.

Express delivery
eBay will also roll out free express delivery on millions of eBay Plus items for eBay Plus members in metro areas⁶. Metro-based eBay Plus members will have orders automatically upgraded to express delivery on millions of eBay Plus listings.⁷
