Augmented reality comes to iphone fashion app

Want to check whether this season’s sunglasses suit your face? Help is now at hand as updates its Fashion App to include a new augmented reality feature, so shoppers can now virtually ‘try on’ sunglasses before they buy.

The “See It On” Sunglasses feature is easy to use and helps mobile shoppers, or ‘moppers,’ find the perfect look using augmented reality – one of the most exciting technologies around. Grazia magazine and London Fashion Week have both embraced the trend of overlaying digital data – such as a video – on the real world, with 3D covers, 360-degree view photo shoots and interactive barcodes.

Step-by step:

  • Access “See It On” from the “front page” of the app, take a picture of yourself using a front-facing camera*
  • Choose from different styles – including aviator, wayfarer and rimless – as well as frames and lenses in multiple colours
  • Fit the glasses to your face using a pinch and zoom measurement
  • Now just decide which style you like
