16 May, 2013 – Moscow – eBay, the world’s largest online marketplace and a leading destination for fashion and mobile commerce, will showcase the latest trends and looks in men’s and women’s fashion through this summer’s “eBay Mobile Boutique Tour” in four Russian cities.

Believed to be the first tour of its kind in Russia, the eBay Mobile Boutique starts June 21 in Kazan, and will travel each week to new locations in Samara, Rostov-on-Don and Krasnodar, bringing eBay’s fashion selection directly to consumers in these cities.

Russian stylist Artem Lyubimov will ride along with the eBay Mobile Boutique Tour and provide fashion advice and makeovers to visitors. Lyubimov is a fan of eBay, incorporating fashion finds from eBay into trendy looks for men and women. In each city, visitors will have the chance to receive a professional makeover from Lyubimov, who will create a new look for each person with the help of a professional team of make-up artists and hairdressers, followed by a photo shoot to complete the experience.

“eBay’s wide selection of top brands and merchandise means that shoppers in Russia can find nearly anything they’re looking for to make their own fashion statement,” said Vladimir Dolgov, general manager of eBay in Russia. “To show people how easy it is to get the latest looks and trends from eBay.com and our eBay Moda iPhone app, we’re taking our tour to city streets and giving people a chance to experience the best of eBay in their own neighborhood.”

Lyubimov sourced his favorite looks for summer and fall directly from eBay’s new Russian language site to show consumers the variety of items, trends and more they can find on eBay.com and the eBay Moda iPhone app. Among the trendsetting looks for women:

  • Watches: More than 820,000 are available on eBay Russia
  • Handbags: Nearly 700,000 are available on eBay Russia

  • Chinos pants: More than 400,000 are available on eBay Russia

To lend their style savvy to the eBay Mobile Boutique Tour, fashion bloggers Rita Galkina, Anna Midday and Maga Umkhaev will also join the tour. Galkina is well-known for her flair for fashion in Russia, and was a cover girl for Cosmopolitan Shopping magazine in December 2011. Midday blogs about incorporating fashion and self-identity, and Umkhaev is a leading male journalist in the Russian fashion industry whose blog shares his perspective on style.
