Introducing UK eBay for Business Awards

eBay News Team

Our new competition aims to highlight Britain's top businesses, inventors and idea generators.

Did you know that more than 200 new eBay millionaires have been made since 2013 in Britain? Some of them are as young as 19. That’s an increase of 50 percent in just four years!

We recently launched the eBay for Business Awards in the UK to recognize people running their businesses using eBay with a great story to tell, whether they run a start-up, are an established trader or have a fantastic new product or idea.

Any eBay business in Britain can enter the awards, regardless of how big or small they are. The winner will get up to £5,000 in cash, personalized help in boosting their presence online and a trip to meet eBay’s global executive team in San Jose.

The awards will be judged by an expert panel, which includes UK Vice President Rob Hattrell. “The businesses trading on eBay make us who we are, and I’m delighted that we are helping even more of them hit the million pound mark,” Hattrell said. “Now we want to meet the next generation. Through the eBay for Business Awards, we want to hear from the best and the brightest businesses up and down the country.”

At eBay, we aim to engage as many sellers as possible and to empower them to take their first steps into the world of ecommerce. Small businesses are at the heart of what we do at eBay, as we all know, and our sellers all have a story to tell. These awards give our most inspiring entrepreneurs and small businesses around the country the chance to tell theirs.
