In the wake of the devastation caused by Hurricane Harvey, eBay mobilized to activate our platform to help those in need. We pledged to match eBay users’ donations up to $250,000 – and in just over three days, thanks to the generosity of the eBay community, we met our match maximum.
As of 6 a.m. PT on August 31, a total of $252,768 was contributed by 5,861 donors.
eBay has also donated an additional $100,000 to Red Cross, Direct Relief, Save the Children and Team Rubicon. These organizations support disaster relief efforts in Texas and throughout the U.S.
