CEO John Donahoe details eBay Inc.’s recent accomplishments in four key areas.

Since 2006, eBay has endorsed and actively participated in the United Nations Global Compact, a strategic policy initiative for businesses that are committed to aligning their operations and strategies with 10 universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption. These principles are derived from the Universal Declaration on Human Rights and other international accords. Although the company has grown and changed significantly in the intervening years, its commitment to the compact has not wavered.

On June 22, eBay Inc. President and CEO John Donahoe sent a letter to U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon describing eBay’s progress in the areas of human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption.

“eBay has been built on the conviction that we are more than just a company,” Donahoe writes. “As we continue to grow our company and innovate new programs and initiatives around the world, the Global Compact will remain an important framework through which we measure and share our performance.”
